Today's shower area is one of the most used spaces in the house. It can be a necessary function, a form of relaxation or a fast pick me up. It's not surprising then, that like other areas of the bathroom consumers have turned their attention towards a shower space that can be minimum maintenance, functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The Decina shower system involves the use of a Decina "Prelude" shower base with an overlocking Decina "Prelude" Plain or Moulded Shelf Shower Wall. The system includes a shower screen return and pivot door in either white or chrome extrusions.

The wall is moulded in one piece and is a great alternative to ceramic tiles. The introduction of the Decina acrylic wall system eliminates the corner joint which has historically been the problem with sheet materials and ceramic tiles. It provides the watertight solution.

Features of Decina "Prelude" shower systems

Easy clean
The walls are completely resistant to water, mould and mildew and are best cleaned with a soapy sponge after each use. The glossy surface blends well with other items in the bathroom.

Reversible walls
The shelf panel is moulded into one side of the two walls and it can be moved to the opposite side simply by inverting the walls during installation. However, on the 1200 x 900 walls, the shelf is supplied on the 1200mm side only.

Fine Line Tiling Beads
The Prelude base has a 'fine line' extra slim tiling bead. This means that it does not need to be recessed into the framework as the thickness of the tiling bead matches the plasterboard lining behind the shower walls when used with moulded acrylic walls.

Overlocking walls
The Prelude moulded walls lock down over the edge of the shower base. The Prelude base has a moulded upstand (tile bead) on the edges that does up behind the wall sheeting.

Self supporting base
The Prelude shower base is moulded from sanitary grade acrylic, then double reinforced for strength. The Prelude is one of the most substantial bases on the market. It also has self supporting feet under it to allow it to be installed without the need for a mortar bed, on suitable surfaces.

"Safety Seal" front
Both the liner and the door return are now retained inside the tray perimeter. This virtually eliminates the possibility of leaking due to poor installation.
